Shadowing Haven

I stumbled across Shadowing Haven's faceup and photography work while browsing through the gallery on Den of Angels. Her interestingly multi-colored faceups and shadowy photography (no pun intended) really caught my eye! ^^

I love the delicate, gothic feel of her pictures and settings, and her faceups are quite good! I believe that she is restricted from taking splits and commission work on Den of Angels for an unknown reason, so I do not have a link to commission, but it is obvious that she is quite talented. ^^ If you're interested in seeing more from her, please visit her blog here.

Raouken's Wonderful Corsets

This fine detail work and beautiful craftsmanship is brought to you by Raouken, who goes by the same screen name on Den of Angels. Her commissions thread is very navigable, and she is a personable and fun seamstress from what I can tell. She has excellent feedback and her prices are great for the craftsmanship you're getting. The corsets are 35 euro for a basic SD corset, and 30 euro for a basic MSD corset. There are other little details that may run you a little extra, but the results are well worth the extra 5 euro or so. She also has an Etsy shop in which she posts ready-made items, but nothing is up there at the moment (I'll bet she's busy with commissions).

I plan on commissioning her for my Zero when I get my monies together. I absolutely adore her work!

Strawberry Rosebud

While perusing the marketplace on DoA, I stumbled across an interesting little shop that sold lolita skirts made using the owner's (Duofan's) own print illustrations. Impressed by the quality and the price, I did a little looking into it and found her website, Strawberry Rosebud.

All images in this post come from her website! In addition to being a great photographer, the Canada-based enthusiast makes jewelry for dolls and people. Using her wonderful design skills, she bases her own lolita creations off of brands like Angelic Pretty, BTSSB, etc. Above are some dolls wearing her skirts!

The artist in the flesh! I love her red-highlighted hair and adorable outfit (the one on her, not the doll XD). The website is easy to navigate, and its appearance is clean and professional, so it's very easy to place an order and find the answers to any questions you may have.

This is an example of one of her print illustrations.

She takes orders through both the website and Den of Angels thread, and has wonderful feedback! I'd love to see pictures from anyone that owns one of her beautiful skirts. :3

The Magic Hour

All of these photos are from the Magic Hour PV "Last Waltz", a highly creative and imaginative, well shot, amazingly prop-tastic set of photos for their BJD band, Amorly. The PV set of photos have the look, feel and tone of a popular band's music video, and there's plenty more where this came from!
The Singapore-based group 'The Magic Hour' is magic indeed, seeming to transform their lifeless dolls into gritty, shadowy characters whose personalities seem to glow from within the confines of their excellently vignetted frames. They have a blog-type livejournal which they update, and you can join the group and watch for new things from them. I wish they had a webshop where I could buy their jewelry and fashions, or have my doll's faceups commissioned. So far, they seem to concentrate mostly on their Singapore-centric fan base, and I haven't seen any plans to really expand their market as of yet.
I know that they're really popular on DoA for their beautiful photography and extremely well-stocked sets, so I think they'd definitely have a niche already if they decided to foray Westward with their creations. But I digress!
